By in Austria,

uhm… why exactly? waiting to announce additional discounts right in the middle of a promo weekend? has this ever happened before? are Lego trolling their customers? I was lucky since the stuff I bought isn't among those mentioned here but still.

Interesting that same items aren’t on sale in the US

Yes, it has. I can't cite any specifics from TLG, but TRU used to run Bricktober for four weeks, and the list of items that would be on sale changed at least once per week, which made it excruciatingly difficult to earn their Bricktober GWPs by planning purchases out in advance. This is one of the two biggest cash register days for LEGO Brand Retail outside of the Christmas season (and the other, January 1st, is arguably still in the waning days of that season), and they go for a full-on spending blitz every year.

By in Canada,

Not much on sale in Canada. I'd take a sail barge at 15% off.

Not that interesting as the sale items on May 4th nearly always differ for Europe and the US.

Well, that’s very frustrating. Sheer luck nothing over-lapped for me - but I probably would have switched one thing out if I’d known.
